Beuys at Sandycove 2014
by admin on 09/25/2014Joseph Beuys visited Dublin in September 1974. He was famously photographed by Caroline Tisdall using the outdoor urinal at the Forty Foot bathing spot at Sandycove.
In 2014, a photograph of a swimmer holding the Tisdall photo was placed at the site in commemoration of Beuys, his connection with Ireland, and the idea of social sculpture.
